Dana Saffel
President, Pharmacare Strategies
Dana Saffel is President and CEO of PharmaCare Strategies, a market development firm that specializes in assisting pharmaceutical manufacturers and health care providers in the appropriate utilization of key products in senior care channel. PharmaCare Strategies focuses on the challenges of successfully navigating post-acute care settings, including care transitions from home to hospital to nursing facility and back into the community with the goal of improving patient outcomes.
Prior to starting PharmaCare Strategies, Dr. Saffel was Vice President of United Pharmacy Services, developing and directing the pharmacy division of PruittHealth and serving over 12,000 nursing facility, assisted living facility, correctional and developmentally disabled residents throughout Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Dr. Saffel is active in many areas of senior-care focused professional organizations such as ASCP, AMDA, AGS, AMCP, AADNS and AHCA and is a frequent lecturer at national and regional meetings on geriatric disease management, health care policy, regulatory challenges and reimbursement issues affecting the long-term care industry. Dr. Saffel currently serves on the Board of Directors of ASCP and is past chairman of the Florida chapter of ASCP.
